The Mayflower Wines and Spirits , ( wine tastings in and out of store) 2115 M Streets NM Washington DC 20037 202-463-7950 was many things to many people , one of those things was both wine tastings in the store as well as outside of it!

Here you see Sidney's assistant Karen Collins wrote a note and proposal to Ms. Janet Monell of the law firm Morgan, Lewis and Bockius with a proposal to conduct wine tastings their in the law offices for their partners and associates, the letter was dated May 30, 1985. Both her father, Aaron Millman and David Vaughn did tastings in the store, David went to do them outside the store. After observing both Aaron and David doing their wine tastings Inwas invited bybSidney to do them. i loved it, too. So great to be rediscovering, recovering, and now sharingin one place many of these pages, notes, lists, descriptions, names , dates, places, countries, styles of wine and more to tell a story of then in those times under those circumstances with those involved and a part of a story of wine and its great allure! profound, charming, a flirtation , sometimes brief, sometimes permanent, a spin, a folly, an oh gee by golly, a glad to know, glad to taste, done this now and will move on, wht's all the fuss a out,nwow - fascinating! just added three pictures with the wines to be tasted of Bordeaux, and another of the wines of the southwest of France to be tasted in classes conducted by me, my writing in cursive and fine block letters. Jim Stutsman brought a white large envelope to Cleveland Park Wine and Spirits to give to Sidney Moore which somehow got lost in the shuffle of things and which I discovered today in a folder of Jim Stutsman things! I will now have to give it to her son Harry to share with his sister Jessie!

I am delighted to be discovering things chez Quinn and taking carebof them accordingly and this larger white envelope that was given to me by Jim Stutsman for Sidney Moore I will have to pass on to her son Harry Moore to share with his sister Jessie. Jim wrote a letter to Sidney on May 9, 2005

I loved working for Sidney Moore Margolis at the Mayflower Wine wines and spirits ( also just added a picture of the tasting room up the ramp with Janet Galloway at the table with the wall behind her filled with incredible Chianti Fossi 1958-79, ans Mondanto, Capanelle, Monte Vertine, more) in the mid eighties and she let me draw the labels for our house wine of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon that we purchased from @RoundHill cellars- Sidney believed in me as an artist, thank you Sidney!

Here is part of a newsletter in collage I made as well as my two wine labels and the wooden box we got from Italy in a containwr shipment and the Chardonnay bottles in it in the store!
